Lilah's tongue poked out of the side of her mouth as she rummaged through her messenger bag. The sight made her look even more like a child and if anyone mentioned she'd surely give them an earful about it. Though later she'd try fixing that. As she searched she listened to Stella and Abby talk. Her hand wrapped around her silver iPod and she tugged it out, its earphones still attached to it and knotted in a way that irritated Lilah. She huffed and began to untangle the mess.
"So, think we'll get anywhere in the meetings or the treaty before we all kill each other first? Though we'll have to, nonetheless." she heard Abby ask. Stella replied, βI hope so, even though I donβt really think the Poisons will, but all we can really do is hope. Also, you looked beautiful with that outfit.β At the mention of Abby's outfit Lilah looked up. Stella often mentioned how unsuitable Abby looked in guy clothes so it surprised her to hear her compliment her choice of clothing. Lilah smiled as she saw why Stella had said what she said. Abby, usually in boy clothes and comfortable in them, was wearing something a girl would wear. "You look lovely Abby." she said quietly. She gave her a look that told her 'She got you to change didn't she?' before giving her a small wink and returning to her mess of earphones.
"Aha!" she exclaimed as her tangled earphones came undone. She popped one in her ear while leaving the other dangling so she could hear the conversation. βOh, and guys, Iβm thinking of setting up a sort of mini treaty with each of the gangs, individually. And the reason for that is after we kill Grant Richards, what will the gangs do? Fight... So, what do you guys think, I always love having your opinions.β Lilah thought of this as Two Steps From Hell blasted into her ear. "I suppose it would be a good idea... then again we'll never know if the other gangs will turn on their word..." she mused aloud. She smiled at Stella encouragingly as she said, "You could run down the idea with Buck. He's sure to think up of all the possible pros and cons of an after-treaty." She stood up and stretched then looked down at what she was wearing.
With the scrunch of her nose she walked over to the small closet next to the door. Humming along to 'O Sole Mio by Il Volo as she looked for something else to wear. She picked out her favored red dress. She skipped to the bathroom and quickly changed. She looked into the mirror and let out a grunt. She looked like a small kid sized porcelain doll for christs sakes! She sighed and began to untie her high ponytail. Brushing it once again she tied some bows here and there for the overall effect. Without looking in the mirror this time, she knew if she did she'd probably punch it, she slipped on some black knee high socks and a pair of shiny black school shoes. She shuddered. Its just for a few hours Lilah, nothing to it.
She bundled her clothing up and stuffed them in a basket under the sink. With that done she stepped out and skipped out into the living room again. Why dress yourself to look like a kid when you hate it? Simple. Lilah preffered to be underestimated. While most believed she was a kid they also thought she was pretty darn incompetent to boot. She was okay with that. Better that they think that than know all of her secrets. Oh look! The Keys brought a little kid along! How whack is that!, a small taunt entered her mind for a niggling second. She huffed, I'll show them. Not many of the other gangs knew about her. Her life on the streets had been spent avoiding any contact with any gang of any kind. She smiled as she though, And yet look at me now. A member of the Keys.
She sat down on the couch again and scrolled through her music. Most of it was classic music of course but she had a variety of genres in there as well. She liked music. Whole heartedly and that meant every type of music. Classic more so but still, all music spoke to her. It was that reason that she learned to play any musical instrument she could get her hands on. Whether it be electric guitar or just a pan-flute. She wanted to learn to play them all.
She looked up at Stella and Abby from her scrolling and looked toward the door. "Buck should be here any minute now..."
