Tezuka

Tezuka's red and purple eyes locked onto the incoming boy's face. So this was the mind-speaker. Humph. He thought he was better than him? They'd see about that...

Red and purple met steel grey. "You think you're better than me? So you can speak directly in my mind. Big effing deal..." His eyes narrowed, searching...what did this boy fear most...

"You can't talk...what about not being able to hear either?" He snaked his way into the other boy's mind, removing his sense of hearing, and even sight. Everything was gone, save for the sense of touch. He made him imagine being scratched at, all over his body. None of it was really of course...but on this level of the psyche, the human brain wasn't able to tell what was real and what was not.

The longer this went on, the more manic Tezuka's smile got, as he just sat there.

Takuya

Blue and red eyes widened as the voice entered her mind, though he was a little put off by the smugness of it. "Yes...apparently we can both hear you. You're like us then, a lab rat?"

He wondered if the boy would speak aloud this time, or once again use his mind. Something seemed off about Rai...Takuya shifted his gaze to his brother, who was just staring at Rai, his face growing more and more crazed as the seconds ticked by. He wondered if his brother truly was going crazy. Were they having a conversation purely in their minds?

Whatever was going on, Tezu didn't like being out of the loop, especially when his brother was involved. "Hey, are you even listening to me?" His eyes switched back and forth between the two, and suddenly, he realized what was going on, or at least he guessed.

Tezuka had told him that he was able to make people hallucinate, go crazy. He had already done it to one of the guards, so long as he had eye contact. Rai must have pissed him of, because he could tell his brother was battling him. Which one was winning, Taku neither knew nor cared, all he knew was he had to stop them, just in case Tezuka was winning.

"Tezuka...that's enough. Let him go. Tezuka!" He touched his brother's shoulder, and got no response. He did the same with Rai, who was standing against the wall at the entrance of their cell, and got the same result.

"I need eye contact..."

He looked back at his brother, walked up to him, and after giving him a few nudges, pushed him clean over.

The power was broken, as was Tezuka's hold, if he had any in the first place, was over. Tezuka glared up at his brother. "What the hell was that for?"

"You want to harm a potential ally? Think about it. He's a lab rat, just like us. Don't you think maybe we should keep together, and not tear each other’s throats out?"

He glared at Tezuka, who glared right back, but not for long. He knew Takuya was right, however much he didn't want to admit it. "You know his name...he's mute, that's why he speaks with his mind. Doesn't know how he's able to, just like us with our powers." He sat with his arms crossed, scowling at the wall.
