Rai Hill

Oh God. What was this. Rai's body locked upon the loss of his sight. And of his hearing. His body locked, his lips parting in an utterly silent wail of terror. The pain, the pain bothered him only a little, but the absence of his other senses terrified him. That was not a good thing. Not a good thing. Not a good thing... And then it was gone. Everything came back. Rai exhaled a breath he hadn't realized that he was holding. He blinked twice, mouth gaping like a dying fish's.

He didn't hear what the second male was saying. He paid no attention to the two. He'd withdrawn back into his own mind, his entire mind tucked in on itself. He wasn't cowed. He wasn't scared. No, not at all. Most definitely not. His fingers clutched the wall as he took a few paces back, closing his eyes as his face screwed up. He rested it against the cool wall for a moment, recalibrating his existence. Decisively so. Revenge was in order, perhaps? Yes. More than perhaps. He'd plot. It would be a beautiful plan, yes. Yes. But he's have to stay quiet. He'd been given the gift of speech. He should use it decisively. To his own gain. That one was stubborn, foolish. He didn't realize Rai's might. Or what the boy could do. Oh no. He didn't realize that Rai was better than him. And The pale boy couldn't clue the other young man in. He'd have to say as little as possible.

Which wouldn't be that hard. Rai was sued to not speaking. But the other one would be okay to talk to, perhaps. His mind, alibut rather shakily, reached out towards the second presence.

Hello. Who are you? And your...other one. He left it at that. He had many other questions, but he didn't want to clue these two in on his state of ignorance. That wouldn't be very wise. No, not at all.

His pale face peeked back around the corner, and found the lighter haired boy's face. His eyes flicked erratically over the face, examining it for a second. He was a bit twitchy after his ordeal, but he was holding himself together as strictly as he could. His mouth was twisted in a scowl, and his eyes narrowed slightly as he gazed into the dullness of the other males' cell.

After a short examination of the other's face he retreated again, turning from the cell and sliding down the wall. his body wasn't used to standing for so long. He hadn't stood for so long in such a long while. His knees were beginning to tremble. His shoulders were trembling too. But he wrote that off as stress. Not fear.

He sighed, his head sagging as his rear met the ground. He pulled his knees to his chest, resting his forehead on his knees and closing his eyes. Perhaps he should take a nap or something. There was an underlying sense of urgency, but it wasn't enough to force him up on his feet again. Nothing urgent enough to make him do anything, really. The chaos command from earlier was forgotten.

Sweet apathy. And not so sweet fear. But the fear didn't exist. no, it didn't exist at all. Really. Because fear is for the foolish and the weak. Neither of which were Rai.
