Rail Hill
Rai ignored the words. He was tired. He didn't much want to get up now. Or at all. Not ever. Yes, that would be nice, if he could sit here forever and not be bothered by anyone. He could be king of his own word. More than he already was, anyway. Just that there would be no other people telling him that he was wrong or any such thing. He did remember the names though. And what they could do. He remained utterly silent for a moment, his own mind whirring sleepily like crickets or a computer turning off. His head sort of lolled to one side, like he was sleeping, but he revived himself, pulling up into a higher spirit. Of course he couldn't stay here. There was chaos to create, yes? And also things to steal. Perhaps he could find another pen to salvage the spring from. Or maybe more than one pen. He could have a whole collection of springs if he liked. Well, if he could find them.
A quiet nonsense song was playing inside his head, about fishes and lovers and other such fiction. As he reached out to the mind of the one who had spoke, the Takuya, the final notes of his mind song were sent, more of an accident than anything, before Rai's message began. Yes. I am mute. No. I don't know If there is anything else I can do, and then to himself, not realizing that the other could hear it as well because he was still in contact with the young man’s mind, he added, But considering, there probably is.
and then, after a slight pause in which Rai lifted his head from his knees, he continued with, Where would you go? Rai didn’t even know where he was at the moment, the memories his brain had on easy access were all blurry and confused. So not only did he not know where he was, he didn’t know how to exit the place. The boy let himself slump sideways, his head turning to look at the two as his shoulder met the ground. His body felt like half melted jello. Not the most pleasant feeling. He really did want to get up... but it was so much work. And he was too tired to work. Someone else should do it so he didn't have to. Ah, that was a genius idea.
In the darkness, from his angle slumped on the floor, he could see the eerie illusion the red eyes of the two cast. He blinked at it, trying to make sense of the strange sight, but then found that he didn't actually care much. Much for the two either. The angry one and the one who asked too many questions. What did he care? Duh, Rai was mute. Did this... what was his name? Takuya just want to make Rai admit his own weakness. Yes, that was probably it. Should Rai be angry? Eh... He was feeling to lethargic to get angry. Oh well. Perhaps he could later. Exact some sort of revenge. That would be a pleasant pastime.
A small amused smile curved the pale boy's lips for a moment before they fell back to their previous state of slightly sour apathy. He should get up now. He couldn't have these two thinking he was weak unless it was by his own devising for some greater plan. He was strong, and they should know it too. With much effort and a silent huff of exertion, Rai lifted his body up from it's position on the ground to a sitting state, then up again, using the wall from assistance. From there he took a few steps, finger coming to his mouth again. Damn habit. His knees were shaking slightly in protest, they were not done resting. How long had it been since he's stretched his legs? how long had it been since he last woke, last moved at all? How long had it been since his mind had been painless, not drowning in this sudden greater existence outside of himself. Where was the warm comfort of his once singular mind?
He'd have to take advantage of this power though, entrap it for his own benefit. he couldn't let it catch the better of him no matter what. The slight body wobbled its way to the door like a fawn taking its first steps, not looking back at the other two. His hand caught the door handle, and he paused, leaning his head against the only thing barring him from free terror and chaos filled reign of the building. For that was what he'd do. He wasn't sure how yet, but that would come.
Later.
