Straightening himself Soundwave motioned for Starscream to follow him to his laboratory so that he might install the Energon cube circuitry into his forearm panel.
"With..This..You..May..Generate..Energon..Cubes..By..Turning..Your..Arm..Canon..To..The..Proper..Degree. You..Already..Possess..This..Ability, This..Is..What..You Do..To..Activate..Your..Null..Ray. All..I..Am..Doing..Is..Adding..Another..Option..To..Your..Automated..System."
Starscream held out his arm with his palm up, giving Soundwave access to the proper panel. Soundwave did not relish the idea of providing Starcscream, whom he consider an inferior unit, with the possibility to generate vast amounts of energy. As Soundwave worked on Starscream he made a solemn vow to keep an eye on him from this day forth. Soundwave had managed to talk Megatron out of installing the cube system into his own circuitry, and although this was a sly move on Soundwave's part, at least Megatron wasn't a treacherous ignorant fool.
After several micro-time units Soundwave had completed the installation, "There, Now..You..Have..The..Ability."
