Gracie paused, pulling out her wallet as she saw the money in her hands. She closed her eyes instead of shooting her sister a glare. What if she hadn't told her about that? If she hadn't given it back? She was careful with her money, and the only money she kept in her purse was for emergencies only. She gave an exasperated sigh after Gracie had left the room, then turned to the stairs, calling after her, "You didn't answer my question; ride to school or not?" As she did, she got up, heading towards her sister's room. She didn't open the door, pausing, about to knock instead, until she heard her sister's voice. Something didn't seem right; all she heard was that she'd see somebody then.

After a moment of debating, she knocked on the door; she'd pretend she hadn't heard anything, that was all. She was no good at snooping without leaving obvious evidence that she had been there, so she'd keep her nose out of it for now. "Gracie? I was only wondering..you spend so much time shut away in that room...and we haven't had much time to hang out, you know? I was thinking...maybe shopping after school? Or even a walk through a park, or something?" She kept her voice low enough that their parents couldn't hear. She didn't need them to remind her to cal or text her to let them know that Gracie was still in her sight. Was she supposed to take her to the bathroom now, too? The girl didn't need constant attention...just someone that might be able to understand, or even help if she needed it. Not a babysitter. Maybe some time to talk would help?
