The two stared in shock for a moment at their unconscious father. Matthew couldn't help but wonder why he didn't just climb through one of the kitchen windows, which were already broken.
Madeline ran over to John, checking to see if he was alright and, if he was, trying to wake him.
Matthew looked around panicking. Nothing he'd read or watched gave him any useful information in this situation, he began breathing quickly and more shallowly. Oh joy, he was having a panic attack. Finally he managed to ask "What- What do you want?"
