Mara looked at the clock on the wall, it was getting close to the end of class. Any minute now the bell would ring, and she would have to go to the constricting English room. While Mara loved to read, she hated the English room. The teacher was strict, the room was stuffy, everything was draining and she just felt like nothing mattered in there but the teachers viewpoint. Which in Mara's mind wasn't right, everyone had a right to their viewpoint, but the teacher there just shot everybody else's down. It was sad in the most pathetic way possible.

Looking back down at her drawing she began to notice everything she would need to fix later. Now was not the time. She stopped her music and put away her player. As she began to clear the table of her supplies she looked towards Unmei. Unmei seemed to be far away, lost in her thoughts. To Mara it was interesting to see someone else get as lost in their own thoughts as she herself did.

Mara tried to figure out what it was that Unmei what looking at. She looked all around the room, most of the students were beginning to pack up their stuff, some were still concentrated on their work, and a select few were goofing off. The teacher was doing his usual helping of students, he never bothered to try and have people pack up, it was useless, when most of these students didn't wish to leave, it was near impossible to make them. Mara chuckled to herself, she guessed the new student was just trying to get a feel of her surroundings, and the people she'd probably be around all day.

Looking up at the clock again, she marveled at the workings of it. Something so simple was so very complex once you looked underneath the surface. It reminded Mara of herself and the others she shared her body with. It also reminded her of art, where even the simplest piece could be complex. Everything was layered with interesting parts, boring parts, and together it made a whole thing that just seemed to be fraught with meaning.

Then came the unfortunate return to reality. Mara finished packing up her stuff and nudged Unmei to tell her that it was almost time to go.
