Myran felt a pang of sadness as the bell rang to end class. Yes he was getting bored since most of the time he just stood there because he knew his part and didn’t need the one on one time that the others needed, but that didn’t mean that didn’t want to be there. He loved being in the band room, listening to the music, feeling it resonate through his instrument. But he had to go, he didn’t to be late for his next class again, he had worked to do in there anyway. So he put the bells away, sliding their cover on and grabbing his bag from the corner he had put it in. He walked down the hall, watching as the other band members were rushing down the hall to put their instruments away and get to their next class. He avoided the looks the color guard gave him. It consisted of all girls and they gave him and Julye a hard time just because they were best friends. Couldn’t he have a close friend without her being his girlfriend? His thoughts rambled for a bit then he noticed Julye wasn’t among the rushing kids and gleaming instruments of metal. He frowned, he hoped she wasn’t getting into trouble, others emotions would cause her to do things she wouldn’t normally do. Or push her to do things she wanted to do but only heightened emotions allowed her to do. He went out to the field where the band went almost every morning to practice. He sighed a little as he saw Julye confronting the quarterback of the football team, the big bully of the school…
