Kai talked to the two girls a bit and discovered that Sam was born in Vietnam, but grew up in America with her parents and two older sisters. This girl was a blabbermouth. Kai couldn't even get much of a conversation going on his end due to the fact that she talked so much. He basically nodded and smiled, stealing glances at Isabelle from the upper deck. She was with another guy whose name escaped in at the moment. He had a feeling it started with a K or a C. He felt a bit of jealousy at their careless laughter and mutual kindness. He still had feelings for Isa and Kai wasn't shy to say so. His problem was his irrational fear of commitment. It possibly stemmed from his father's early departure from his life and his mother's bitter thoughts about love and men in general.

Sam and Taylor were definately not Kai's type. They were to open, too easy for him. He could very well smile at her, flirting like he cared, and there would be a sixty percent chance he could drag her into his bed without her complaining within a two week time period. He didn't want to make assumptions though, but Isabelle was on the boat. He was determined to talk to her. What he would say? He hadn't figured it out yet. He and Ezra found their way off the boat. He grabbed his bags making sure Isabelle didn't leave his line of sight. His mouth formed a tight line when Carmine grabbed her hand, but he kept his composure. He waited a little ways off from where the passengers were getting off the ferry so Isabelle would be forced to look at him. He figured she couldn't resist a sly remark towards him. One word from her and he could practically taste the hope.
