For this conversation, the Duke had some actual news that he was sure would throw his cousin for a bit of a loop. Hell, it had made him wonder what was going on, or what he didn't know about. He nodded towards the harbour.

"As a matter of a fact, I received word from the Clarkson that the Luxorian fleet has put to sea. He received the information from a somewhat disreputable source so I have asked him to verify it with our own ships. I don't suppose you might have any idea why Luxor has the armada out?"

As he asked the question he suddenly had a horrible premonition that maybe the DeGreys had been more clever than he suspected and had managed to somehow convince Luxor to help rid themselves of the Devalins. That didn’t make sense though, Luxor, for all of its kind words, hated Avalon more then he hated the Degreys.

He watched her go, eyes taking in her firm buttocks and shapely legs. He sighed and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. His body was betraying him and it bothered him that he even found himself in this situation. He knew he loved Gwen, or at least he thought he did…

A knock on the door interrupted his musings and he pulled the blanket over his lap just as the door swung open. He smiled his thanks as the redhead offered him a plate of food and tucked in eagerly. Being sick tended to take the strength out of him something fierce. He listened to her as he ate, nodding his thanks at her promise to find him clean bedding and clothes, his own would probably have to be burned he decided.

He laughed when she asked him if he would need help with the bath and shook his head.

“No, thank you, I think I can manage.” He ate another tomato as she continued to speak, swallowing the last of it before replying. “Nice to meet you Vivian, my friends call me Thomas. I don’t suppose you can tell me where I am…?”
