Parker stretches a bit, yawning as her roommate bounced through their small apartment, pots and pans clanking together to make a wretched, horrifying noise.
"DARREN, PLEASE." Parker grumbles, sitting her, her hair tumbles around her shoulders and she rubs her eyes a bit.
"Wake up then you lazy ass." Her roommates' voices leap through the crack of the door. Parker cracks her neck to the left then the right, standing and stumbling over to her dresser and she throws on a pair of boy shorts and a tank top, throws her hair up into a loose ponytail and walks out of her room and into the kitchen.
Darren stares at her for a moment, his eyebrow pulling up, handing Parker a fresh cup of coffee.
"Well, good morning sleeping beauty," Darren says, sarcasm drips in his voice and Parker's head hits the counter top with a groan.
"It's too early for this shit." She says, her head lifts up to see Darren and he laughs a bit.
"Well," he rests his elbows on the table, and places a cupcake in front of her with a candle on it, Parker glares, "I know, I know, you don't like when people give you things on your birthday, but... Happy birthday, Parker."
Parker continues to glare.
"Hey, c'mon, it's your twentieth, you should be stoked!"
"Totally..." She says and sits up, taking a sip of her coffee.
He lights the candle and he pushes it towards her, "Make a wish."
Parker stares at it for a good moment. Wish... She had wished for a lot of things in her life, but they always seemed to turn out bad.
Maybe she should start wishing for bad things to happen, so the reverse would happen. Parker closes her eyes and then blows out the candle. She looks up at Darren with a smirk.
"Thanks, kid." She takes another drink of her coffee and places it down, "Well, that's the end of that, I should get ready for work."
Parker worked as an associate, basically an office girl for the big hot shot, Mr. Stark. Of course, she thought he was a bit over his head in many different ways, and a little out of his mind, but the job payed good money for her to get through college and get into Medical school.
She walks into her room and picks out a black pencil skirt and a white button up top. She clips her hair into a partial and then puts on make up. Grabbing her briefcase she heads out, calling down a taxi.
The traffic was terrible, and many people seemed to be loading up in the Square.
"Hang on..." She realized this had to do with the two companies merging. She pays the taxi driver and steps out of the car, the streets were bustling, people pushing.
She recognizes Mr. Colt as he steps out of a building and she tilts her head a bit as he walks towards her and greets two people she knew by name, but not personally, Joshua Thomas and Rhys Grant.
