The animal and the monster became one. Two minds that instantly liked each other working together, setting fire to the things that made Kyra partly human. They made her watch as her feelings about Dusk, and Amp/Blast became nothing more then ash blowing away in the wind. She could remember them, and still think of them, but the mortherly feelings were gone. And so were the friendly ones. Nothing left but the animal and the monster, thinking only of one thing: Satisfying the burning hunger.

Kyra growled, the torn skin on her back already remending itself. She crouched down low to the ground, gazing steadily at the winged girl, daring the girl to move. She did, and that was all Kyra needed. She darted forward, covering the distance between her and her prey in seconds. Skin tearing like velcro. Feathers falling like stars, leaving trails of blood. It came to her like a thought as she feinted to the left, turned and tackled the winged girl from behind.
