"Darling you'll love this camp," Laylani mocked her mothers chipper voice. She sighed and focused on the song playing in her new mint green hybrid. Her parents had thought she needed this camp, unlike her sisters she was less discrete with her powers, hell she was pretty damned proud of them. So they sent her here and went on their trip around Australia. She wasn't angry at them, maybe a little bitter but accepted it. It had been a long time since she felt excited or anxious about anything too. I mean she would be around people like her. Maybe not other mermaids but people who understood her... she hoped.
She pulled in her parking space and hopped out. Immediately she self conciously checked her
outfit. whuch took her at least an hour to pick out. Her
bikini was concealed underneath though chances were she wouldn't go swimming. Her mother just in case though gave her a ring allowing her to maintain her human form even when in water. She reached in her backseat and grabbed her luggage, she was a chronic over packer, and headed to find a counseler. FInally she found one talking to a boy with a motorcycle. She quickly walked up to them.
"Um Hi, I'm Laylani I'm new." She said moving a stray curl that fell in her face.
