Velocity's body went more tense when he hugged her, still not used to feeling his arms around her, no matter how many times he had really cuddled with her in a bed. However, the longer he held her, the less tense she got and eventually she leant back into him and closed her eyes, letting out a gentle sigh. This was... different. And yet, familiar. A memory ran through her head that had stuck with her forever. Back when she was younger, when she was a bubbly little girl, she would try to hug everyone in The Institute. She wanted the attention. But there was one person in a white lab-coat who broke down into a yelling fit, roaring at her and telling her she was an abomination. Hugs, care, and affection were not the things she would get. And yet, here she was now. From one guy, she was earning a hug, care, and expressions of affection... Velo turned round suddenly and wrapped her arms around Reggie, holding onto him tightly and closing her eyes, a small smile rising upon her usually serious and frowning lips. Was she really the abomination that that little bitch had made her out to be? Maybe.... but maybe not... "Reggie, I..." She laughed a little, turning her eyes up to him. "I don't know what to say. I guess..." She paused, knowing it was going to be close to impossible to say it. "Reggie... I don't think I wanna stay just friends." She said, looking up to him and quickly pecking him on the cheek, before pulling away and looking down to Reggie's chest.
