…Something cool was tickling her ankles...it was peculiarly similar to grass….GRASS!? Sena’s eye’s flickered open in alarm, as she let out a gasp. She was immediately overwhelmed by the sight of a massive building that resembled a temple of some sort. A countless amount of lanterns embraced it, unlit yet still enticing. The building was painted a vermilion color, the paint cracked and peeling.

There were numerous balconies, with sliding doors that were made of paper. They also looked as worn as the building’s outer walls. It gave you the impression that it had been long abandoned; yet thick black smoke was rising steadily in the sky, an obvious statement that it was still occupied. An arched wooden bridge established a pathway to the building, its railings painted a dark shade of red. Despite its worn look it was magnetic, giving off an illusion that it was gently coaxing you to enter. Sena took a step forward, her eyes glued to the building...

“Where are we? Can you help me? I don’t know where my mom is! What is this place?”

The light, youthful voice cut sharply through the air, snapping Sena out of her trance. She turned around, realizing she wasn’t alone. She spotted two young children, one a girl and the other a boy. The girl had bright, almost radiant skin, and blonde hair. The boy had strong, rebellious looking eyes and disheveled brown hair. Though they appeared to be complete polar opposites, she decided against making any quick assumptions. After all, they could be best friends for all she knew. She walked cautiously towards them, raising a hand in the air. “Hello?” she questioned nervously.
