Sena gaped unattractively at the strange woman, her mouth wide open. She had to strain her neck just to see her face, and she suspected that Sayo and Tomasu probably had it far worse. The woman's attire gave Sena the impression that they were in a cosplay-cafe of some sort; she had read about them in magazines before. Apparently older girls work in a cafe, dressed as maids serving their "masters". Sena decided to assume that whoever owned this place was running a business.

She then turned her attention to the bird on the woman's finger. There was absolutely no way that thing could have been what was talking to them. According to Sena, with the exception of a parrot ( that only repeats what it's heard ) birds DO NOT TALK. End of conversation. But nothing here was normal, she realized.

"Alright," the woman said, as Sena once again tilted her neck to meet her eyes. "So what kind of spirits are you? What floor would you like? Are you all together or separate?" the woman began. "Spirits? Why would we be spi--" Sena stuttered, but the woman continued asking question after question without break. By the time the woman was done, Sena found that she herself was out of breathe. "We're not spirits" Sena stated meekly "We're....ah...we're kids. We wanted to see if we could stay here for a night. I-if that's alright with you, of course". She had wanted to appear brave in front of Sayo and Tomasu, but the woman gave off a particular aura that seemed to be saying "Don't mess with me". Sena rubbed her fingers together, a habit she adopted whenever she was nervous. Would the woman yell at her? Order them out? Maybe even.....kill them..? Sena shuddered, she didn't even want to think about it.
