"Do you live in an or-pin-age? Does that mean you're an orpin?" she heard Sayo question innocently. Sena flushed and looked away, a lump forming in her throat. She hadn't wanted the pair to know, fearing that they would start to pity her. They looked so suddenly forlorn, their eyes boring into her. She thought of all the adults who would visit the Orphanage, pity shown obviously on their faces. Children such as herself, or Adults ( she despised the fact that she would become one someday ), Sena never did very well with pity as she could never figure out how to react to it.

Sena forced herself to look back at them, clearing her throat. “Yeah, there's lots of other children there! I'm never lonely either! It's like having a huge family!” she said grinning, dragging out the word “huge” in an attempt to make the orphanage sound better than it actually was. Though she wasn't exactly lying either. Everyone back at the Orphanage was like family to her, and she cared for them just about as much as she did for her sister. It literally was just like a huge family in Sena's opinion – just without any parents. "But who needed parents anyway?" she thought to herself. "They were irresponsible and selfish, no one needed them.
"
“Fine, I won't go through the door. I won't even touch it.” the younger girl nodded, Tomasu following suit.

Sena smiled with relief, not only because the two agreed to behave, but also because they were able to switch to another topic. She heard a yelp as Sayo abruptly and without warning jumped into her arms. Sena cradled the girl, staring curiously at the purple door. She hadn't had a chance to look at it very closely yet, and noticed that there was nothing strange about it. She started at the girl with a baffled look on her face. It was just an ordinary purple-coated door for heavens sake! There was nothing out of place at all! She was even more astonished by the fact that Tomasu had started acting peculiarly as well. She watched with alarm as he threw himself to the ground, a panicked look on his face.

“Let's go!” he shouted at them, grabbing her hand as he dragged them through the red door before shutting it with a loud bang. Sena tumbled after him, struggling to keep Sayo from falling off. She fell to her knees, turning her head towards Tomasu.
“What.Was.That.” she asked, her voice laced with annoyance. “You two promised to behave! And literally seconds later you start screaming and..and throwing yourself all over the place!” She glared at the ground, and started to look around the room....


The carpet and wallpaper seemed to be a pair, as they both had the same design. They were both a dark red shade with a design of golden swirls branching out from one another, with leaves sprouting from them. Actually as a matter of fact, the entire room seemed to follow this design. There was a couch in the far end of the room near the area that they had entered with golden handles. It was near a lit fireplace that was surrounded by smooth marble. With each flicker of the fire, a blurry and barely visible scene appeared. A room of a group of people wrapped soundly asleep, then a room that was empty, with thick paper walls and a plain wooden floor, a series of more scenes like this continued on and on. Finally she focused on a neat desk, it was obviously tidied and looked after with care...
