Her mocking tones barely disguise the fact that her body's quivering a little under the intensity of his gaze. It's subtle enough that anyone who wasn't looking for it would miss it, but her hand movements become more rapid and nervous and her blush deepens ever so slightly. She quickly turns away, feeling waves of energy roll over her, his emotions so strong they reverberate off her skin. The feeling is warm and comforting, wrapping around her like a blanket. She closes her eyes and pauses, savoring the feeling the same way she'd savored the touch of his hand on her skin only a few moments before. After a while she suddenly turns away, crossing her in front of her chest defiantly.
"Heaven's been in an uproar the last twenty years." She tells him, not looking at him as she spoke. Her voice is stern, controlled. Her hands fall to her sides, her fists clenching and unclenching nervously as she speaks. "God decided to sleep for the next thousand years, leaving the arch angels in charge. Since then, it's just been chaos, corruption, the works. Just look around you. Even this world is falling apart. I thought coming here would be better, but it looks like I only traded in one chaos for another." She finally turns back to him, looking him dead in the eyes as she speaks. "A lot has changed since you left, Demon Boy."
