It was that awful half sleep state. Where Niles was semi aware that he was awake but was still in the grasp of sleep. He tossed around, getting his already tangled self deeper into the mess of his sheets. But it was a sharp swat to the face that shocked him awake. Sitting bolt upright, in his semi-drowsy state, Niles nearly fell from his bed. The was a muted howl from his sheets and as he orientated himself, fished inside to find his cat Cleo buried within the material. The cheeky thing hadn't been pleased with his moving so decided to show her dissatisfaction with a paw to the face. It had definitely gotten his attention. But she had already forgotten the incident and had moved to where she was now curled, purring peacefully, at the base of his bed. With lethargic limbs he began rubbing his eyes to clear the blurry vision. He blinked another few times and wasn't able to suppress the yawn that overtook him. He couldn't believe he was so exhausted, it had only been a week back at school! To match his tired limbs, his mind was equally slow. It took him a bit to realise what the niggling thought in the back of his mind was telling him. The effect was a mini panic attack as he remembered what they had planned for tonight. He frantically fumbled for his wand that was rested somewhere on his side table. After finally locating the blasted thing he gripped it and quickly drew the sheets over his head so he could perform the spell that would emit light so he could read the time on his Rolex watch (a guilty present from his parents). The big hand had just ticked over to 11pm and he let out a relieved breath. He wasn't late just yet. Letting the light fade, he flipped the sheet off and stumbled out of bed. The hands of sleep still hanging onto him. But somehow he got up, and sliding in his fluffy socks made his way to his wardrobe. Pulling out whatever he grabbed first, which just so happened to be his Kizz shirt and just a pair of grey slacks, he quickly dressed and headed downstairs. He wasn't exactly quiet but he knew that no one would bother him or even bother waking as they were used to his mischievous cat waking him up at odd hours.

He was walking in a daze, barely noticing anything, it was a wonder that he didn't run into any trouble on the way. His mind wasn't focused on anything, just listening to the muted thumps of his feet that echoed through the hallways. It was pretty dark, but he didn't mind so much because it seemed to keep him in that dreary state of sleep and that was fine by him. Niles was no way a night owl, but there was no way he was going to miss a game of truth or dare with his good mates. There was a lot of catching up to do after the holidays despite it already being a week. It was such a good idea and he forgot who actually mentioned it, not that it mattered but he liked to think he could take some credit for it. That brought a small smile to his lips as he went shuffling along to the room of requirement, still not noticing that he hadn't removed his fluffy socks and all in all looked extremely dorky. His thoughts were on the fact that no doubt he would be the last there but it didn't bother him as long as no one had started without him.

He finally reached the Room. It was cloaked by a surprisingly modern looking tapestry. His smile that had stayed on his lips the entire journey from when it appeared to now, morphed into a smirk. He definitely knew who came here first, the one girl who seemed to really love all the muggle and modern stuff. Gingerly he pushed past the tapestry and slowly creaked the door open, not wanting to startle the ones inside. This was going to be awesome, and the last clingy remnants of drowsiness seemed to wash away as he entered the room.

"Look out everyone, the fun has arrived!" He chimed, his megawatt grin lighting up his face.
