Jay laughed as Lacey admitted she hadn't checked who she was roomed with, trust her to forget something like that. She was honestly a complete scatter brain, but for some reason for her it just worked, it was kind of adorable. She also hadn’t cared all that much, proving that Jay did in fact know his best friend as much as he though he did.

"I got Mike," he replied slowly, he knew Mike wasn’t Lacey’s favorite person in the school but it didn’t really matter all that much. Jay didn’t really make a habit of hanging out in his room. Not only did he strongly prefer sunshine over being inside but he also played guitar a lot. He always felt bad for his roommates having to put up with his guitar thing, so he always found places inside school grounds to hangout instead.

Jay turned to see what was going on behind him, when he heard a commotion going on. He just ignored it though when he saw a food fight had erupted within the populars, it didn’t effect him in any way. Unless of course it spread to the whole canteen, he doubted it would though. He didn't doubt that some jocks were going to be in some serious trouble, he knew Dehlilah well enough to know she was not going to be happy, he almost pitied Mike.

Smiling lightly he turned back to Lacey, “Well I just hope you get a good roommate,” he said sincerely before his tone turned joking. “Cause, you know if get someone I don’t like, I will be forced not to come around and see you.” He laughed a little, it wasn’t even a good joke, she knew better than anyone, that he was able to get along with anybody. Last year he had gotten on better with Lacey’s roommate than she had.

He then grabbed a couple more chips from the packet before rolling up the opening of the packet, so the chips wouldn’t go stale. “I see you enjoyed my lunch,” he said to himself laughing quietly. Lacey always ate his food, he couldn’t remember when it started but it was what they did every lunch time, the day just wouldn’t have felt right if she didn’t take his food off him.
