Emmalynn Carter
“Emmalynn lets go, you are late and still not ready. I told you to pack last night.”
Emmy heard her mom yell from the bottom of the stairs, she knew she was late and that she should of packed last night but she was busy messing around with her music to really do packing.
She was getting dressed in the outfit she picked out for today.
“Almost ready mom, just getting dressed” she yelled as she put her shoes on, grabbing her ipod she put her headphones on, pushed play, then grabbed her bags and went downstairs.
“Can you ever be on time Emmalynn? her mom asked her as she grabbed one of the bags from Emmy and grabbed the car keys. Emmy followed her mom out to the car and put her bags in the backseat and got in the passenger side. “Let me think about that, I don’t think my brain knows how to be on time” she then burst out in laughter as her mom just shook her head. Emmy leaned her head back against the seat as she got comfortable for the hour long drive.

“Emmy wake up, we are here, come on wake up” she felt herself being shaken as she heard her mom. Opening her eyes she looked outside and saw the school, her home till next summer. She gave her mom a kiss on the cheek “Ill give you a call tonight mom, love you” she said as she opened the car door. “ Love you too sweetie, I also hope to not get as many calls from the principal like I did last year, try to be good okay?
Emmy nodded shutting the door then grabbed her bags from the back seat and went into the school. She looked around for a few minutes before she went to the office, getting her room key, she wondered who her roommate this year was going to be. The secretary told her she could leave her stuff that had to go to her room at the office and just head to art class.
Grabbing her backpack she headed to the art classroom. Noticing another girl with bright red hair, a little bit ahead of her. Quickly trying to catch up to the girl she tapped her on the shoulder “Hey are you new, don’t think I have seen you around here? I am Emmalynn Carter but you can call me Emmy, heading to art?” she asked as she walked on the right side of the girl.
