“Not so fast.” Alaric said loudly. He was just on the outer dens giving instructions to omegas about food rations in case the storm takes a turn for the worse. He needed to discuss evacuation plans with Alpha Gabriel in case the dens gets flooded. He was returning to his chambers to devise a contingency plan when he saw Lancie coming in soaking wet. She handed her kill to an Omega. The girl is lazy, he thought. She’s a good hunter but lazy. Oftentimes, Alaric would see her playing with pups as if she would go unnoticed. “Or dozing off under a tree. And she has problems following orders just like that Oliver girl” He mentally added. The Alpha would have to teach these troublemakers a lesson for now he will have to do some heavy lecturing.
“Cat got your tongue, hunter?” He said to Lancie’s back. “Do you not have any idea what time it is?” his tone was quiet but menacing. Alaric circled around and stopped in front of Lancie. Alaric stared straight to her eyes and continued. “You need to follow instructions and come in when you are expected. What if Stiprus pack capture and torture you for information? You are deliberately putting you and your pack in danger!” Alaric turned livid. He exhaled harshly and added in a calmer tone “If it was up to me, I’d have you do pup sitting duties for a month but something tells me you’d like that. I’ll let Alpha decide what to do with you. Now put on something dry you’re flooding the floor.”
