Missia stopped. How the hell did he know her name? 'Alex?' She said in reply, equally showing confusion in her eyes. What was going on here? She just looked at him, dumbfounded. Then she came to a realization. 'You were the one who was in distress earlier!' Carmissia bared her teeth a little bit. How was he in her head? She was scared, confused, and starting to panic. If he could be in her mind...maybe her pack was next. She told herself to calm down and she regained her icy demeanor. She tried to cut off connection, but her mind burned as she tried. He was still staring at her confused. She probed his mind a little, going through his basics. Alex McClain. 24 years old. That's as far as she got before automatic mental walls appeared and shut her out. She could still feel his emotions, however.

'I'm just as confused as you. Let's just...forget this ever happened, alright? Take the fawn, if you want.' And with that, Carmissia was off with her doe, carrying it back to her pack. She had a lot to think about. She couldn't tell anyone about this. About halfway to the camp, she stopped and switched to human form. Her connection with Alex was still there, but not as strong. How long had it been there?
