Draco had followed Cynder, but was farther behind her than when he had started. Unlike her, he had fought back against the animals that attacked, causing him to fall far behind her. He wasn't fond of the cold, it made him slower, but he persevered and walked on, following what he could see of Cynder's tracks.
The terrain around him started to become more rocky as he climbed, making it harder for him as he had nothing to dig his claws into should he fall. He continued walking, still far behind the other two, his tail flicking now and then to keep itself warm.
