Charlie

Charlie had noticed the air had gotten a bit chilly, which wasn't that odd considering that the sun had set, but it was far colder then it should have been. Still, he had tried to so hard to get outside, he wasn't about to turn tail and head back in now. He would bear the cold; it wasn't that bad. Even through the door; he managed to hear the raising of voices coming from inside the house, he couldn't make out the words, but he heard it. Refreshing to know it just wasn't him that caused all the yelling, or it could be about him.. He must have that effect on women.

Charlie had the plate of food sitting on his knees, and he ate in silence gazing at the stars and trying to ignore the sounds from the side of the house that sometimes came over. Sounded like a couple of people were playing, or making-out, or both. Honestly, he didn't care as long as he didn't have to see.

He nearly jumped out of his skin when the door behind him opened, instantly fearing it was the red-headed she-bitch. Charlie turned to look at who it was, and it was the Old-English Matron... without shoes on.. Odd. Charlie blinked when she caused once more, so not so matrony like. Well, there went that well-thought nickname. When she asked if it was spring, Charlie assumed she was asking him, even if she was not looking at him.

"Kinda hard to tell, but last time I checked we were." Charlie had almost made a Wizard of Oz reference, but decided against it, sure it would be one of those jokes that sounded brilliant in his head, but dull and pointless once said. "Where did the old timey english host go to?" Charlie teased, "And going all natural?" He said pointing at her feet. "Works for you."
