Jon was getting annoyed of the long walk to Calvous. He'd had to wake up earlier than usual, rush through his morning routine and then start walking to the place with all the bare necessities in a bag. In and of itself, none of this was unpleasant but the fact that he was still wearing his training weights and a hooded jacket to cover it all up made him uncomfortably warm. To a passerby, he'd probably seem like a suspicious person. After all how often is a guy with a black hooded jacket, MMA shorts and silicon slips that are more like foot molds than shoes seen walking to an Academy with a large backpack?

"Man walking back into town for my cage match this weekend is gonna be a pain. The underground fight occurring two weeks later is gonna be even worse." He couldn't help but complain out loud a little, since he was halfway between the town and the school, it wasn't like anyone was going to hear him. Winning the cage match should cover his living expenses for the month, what cut he'd get from winning the underground fight would essentially be emergency money.

"Damn old fart," the rude description of his father couldn't help but leak out of his mouth. Jon would actually be able to enjoy his winnings if it weren't for the old man. He shook his head to clear it and picked up his pace a bit; he was already going to be late and wanted to be as on time as possible
