It was time. Time to go and meet the rest of the Gods. Not exactly my idea of a wonderful afternoon, but required all the same. I close my tome, one containing recipes and formulas for ancient medicine, and send it fluttering in the large room of one of my workshops. It flaps it's covers like a bird and places itself ever so neatly on the shelf. Right in-between the old book of alchemy I occasionally use and the cookbook used by some famous chef that I procured. I pull on my nicer, loose black silk shirt that is made from the highest quality threads I could find. Yes, I could just alter my current form, godhood and all that, but I just feel so bogged down on this day, like always. The fact that so many other Gods were either completely insane or bloodthirsty, I have no love for seeing any of them more than I have to. I'd go, they'd ask "How many wars have taken place the last thousand years?" and when they get a ridiculous number, they won't try to change a thing. So, I was going just to get it over with. I stand outside the workshop, and gaze into the flowing sapphire space that surrounded The Archives. Such serenity. Perfect for studying or creating new things for the world. I spread my feeble arms, and in a cloud of shimmering mist, I take on the form of an owl. Such a wonderful creature, it is. I fly through the gateway into Lorgaine, emerging from a rocky crevice in a mountain.

As I fly over the land, I look to see what has become of this region. The exit out of my realm changed daily, and I don't usually pass through here. Bustling cities on the river, overflowing with all kinds of technology and advancements. I had to give the mortals credit, they most certainly got things done. Even though some of those things weren't exactly productive, like feuds or wars. I could see all the new vehicles and methods of transport, all of them I've seen, but still remarkable. I had created a chart that dictated where I believed technology would go and how it would change. Large portions ended up wrong, which didn't surprise me. I may be the God of Knowledge, but knowledge is a melting pot. I can stir and sift through it, find bits, and rearrange them to get a better understanding. However, I can't gaze into the pot, and will the bits to show me their place. That isn't my field, and frankly, I'm glad it isn't. My job would be a lot more dull if it was.

I ascend, flying higher and higher above the clouds until I see it. The Hall of Immortals. No progress would be made, we would squabble, and no one would learn. Or maybe we could change and all share ideas to achieve the correct course of action.

I give an amused scoff.

I flap my wings as I land in front of the door. I transform into my original form, and open the doors. As I gaze upon the tapestries in the hall, I'm reminded of what I have accomplished. I have given form and structure to mortal's idle thoughts. Put them into a tangible form. And let them go. It was their business to use the knowledge, I simply organize and keep it. My interests lie in what they will do with it in the future. Aside from the obvious struggles, they could do so much with their minds. Time would tell if they used them to advance or destroy.

I snap my fingers, willing my cane into existence before me. It was an old knotted cedar branch, with a still-burning candle on it's knotted, gnarled head. I grab it, and use it to support myself, walking down the corridor. Finally, I get to the main chamber. Looked like a few were already here. Who happened to be among my least favorites, save for Athena. I do admire her record keeping, but that respect is slight.

Corallium has access to knowledge I would never know, and although I dislike seeing the future, it is a secret all the same. A bitter little circle, that one. The woman was also a being of hedonism. I just drop it there, so I don't get too flustered.

And Revan...that one will be difficult to deal with. His ways of violence sicken me, and usually end with blood spilled everywhere. The Vengeful One surely couldn't think of any other ways to fight injustice.

I take a grail of the purest water there is. Alcohol clouds the mind, a state I have no interest in.
