Hearing all this talk of punishments and such, Lily could no longer simply hold her tongue, especially with her best friend mixed up in all this. Taking a deep breath, though it did little to calm her down, the girl stepped into the office.

"E- Excuse me headmistress." Her voice was quiet and shaky, but still audible. "I don't mean to interrupt, and I know it's none of my business, but I couldn't help overhearing." Standing up slightly straighter, her voice gained a little more conviction as she spoke her next words. "You can't give out any of those punishments, at least not legally. Seagus broke up a fight, but the manner in which he did so was fighting, therefore any punishment you give to him must be given to the other two involved parties, otherwise you're clearly playing favorites. You have no legal right to dictate how Amber spends her shower time, so long as she doesn't endanger herself or others, and forcing her to wear a blindfold for reasons of sexuality is discrimination. Furthermore, since you are supposed to keep the students of this academy safe, condoning any violence against Amber by Madison is not only morally wrong, but is conspiracy to commit bodily harm. That said, I will report you to the authorities if necessary."

By the time Lily had finished speaking, she was clearly shaking, and frankly felt as though she were about to faint. Despite this, she clearly meant what she had said.
