Liz had been standing at the window watching the entrance to the school for hours now, observing the students that were entering the campus. She had been in this same room for a few months, waiting for this day and staying far from the students already on school grounds. She could feel paranoia creep up to clench at the inside of her throat and swallowed harshly for the fourth time that day. These people she would have no choice but to socialize with. She would be seeing them every. Single. Day. The scowl seemed to be permanently etched into her facial region. People brought drama. And drama meant emotions. And the word 'emotions' was spelled T-R-O-U-B-L-E for all concerned. Yet another sigh of many was heaved as her blue eyes gazed at the ground below with unease, her nose piercing itchy slightly.

The window, despite the sunshine outside, was cool to touch where it connected with the side of her face. It seemed to relax her muscles surprisingly, turning her expression to a blank slate. She had given up focusing on the people on the ground, Liz would meet them all soon anyway. And Nadia looked completely at home, heading out to meet each and every single one of them. She remembered the mutants cheer when she had stepped foot in the institute, following two professors anxiously from the car. The red skinned woman had seemed like a threat at first, with her yellow eyes seeing through them all eerily. And yet the smile and bubbly voice that emanated from from her simply made Liz want to stuff her hands in her jacket pockets and hold her head down to eliminate all theories that she was associated with the cheerful being. Simple annoyance came from the woman speaking, nothing more thank the gods.

Heaving a sigh she slipped away from the window and walked to the door, grabbing her jacket on the way and pulling it on to cover her Metallica T-shirt and bright pink hair. The jacket was loose, and hanging down to her mid thighs; the yellow symbol for peace with an angry red slash through it on the back. Over her plain black jeans and shiny black, lace up boots she looked like any other angry teenager. Excellent. She knew how to play that part rather well and anyone who saw someone who looked like her would simply turn and walk the other way. She didn't really want to leave her room, the desire and temptation was there to just sit at the window all day until summoned to meet her new classmates.... or inmates as she so affectionately thought of them. Yet there was a much stronger desire to grab some coffee while the halls were relatively empty.

Along the way she nearly ran into Nadia as she was leading a student through the halls. Literally ran into her. The woman had been babbling on while looking back at the girl behind her and not watching where she was headed. If Liz hadn't been so caught up in brooding over her thoughts she would have been able to avoid the woman as she rounded the corner but no, today seemed to be the day they both decided to not pay attention and with a dull thud, Liz fell back with a flushed scowl. She was scolding herself for not paying attention and had blocked out the cheery, though worried voice. When a red hand reached to help her up she jerked away and stood quickly. The bags that she had been carrying had dropped and Liz felt somewhat bad so she helped Nadia pick them up, avoiding physical contact the entire time.

"Don't touch me." She nearly spat in annoyance. Liz sighed and wearily inspected the student who had watched.

Nadia seemed unfazed by her tone. "Oh Liz! Excellent timing! I want you to meet Sophia!"

"I'll pass."

"Oh but I...well would you be able to take Sophia up to her room? It's room --"

"Pass."

The red-skinned woman stared at her blankly before smiling brightly again. "O-ok .... I will show her to her room then and go back to meet the new arrivals. Where... where are you headed Liz? You rarely ever leave your room."

"The coffee Goddess calls, Nadia. And I being her loyal and faithful servant, must answer with haste." She turned to leave but gave a second last minute thought. Turning she looked at the girl Nadia was leading around. She had black hair, and pale skin. She also looked to be a few inches taller than Liz. Strangely the newcomer didn't look uneasy in this place. "I'm... Liz. Nadia takes it upon herself to show the new students around. She's odd looking but harmless. I uh..." She was feeling her throat tighten and pulse quicken again. The more time she spent in the company of others the more paranoid she became. "See ya."

Without waiting for a response she waved and turned back to head towards the kitchen. With any luck she could have a cup in the gardens before too many people flooded the place.
