"Ewman's square, eh?" Silas pretended to know what that meant. "Perhaps, Perhaps." he said guardedly, in response to the boy's question, knowing that confessing to being a rube or an outoftowner could get them marked for pickpockets.

"Well, when in doubt, follow our noses." He said to Genevieve, and began to wander further up the street, admiring the shops and their fine windows. He ran his hands along a tall, brass lamplight, marvelling at how clean and functional it was. It all looked like it had been forged yesterday, and he'd not seen such common-place street lighting outside of the most fancy parts of London, yet it seemed to be a mundane element here.

"How do they keep everything so clean?" He wondered. The streets weren't exactly spotless, it was true, but the cobbles were relatively free of the traces of human effluvia and animal waste he was so used to seeing in real cities, which this one surely could count itself as.

"They must have alot of gong farmers, or a huge sewer system." He wondered aloud. "They probably even bathe more than once a month, hygiene freaks."

Passing the Overfall Chain, he spied a tiny, many-windowed shop, loaves of bread and even cakes on full display. Truly, this -was- a nice neighbourhood. Any plucky sod could brick the window and help themselves. He'd not seen any sign of any Watchmen, either, or street urchins besides the paperboy come to think of it.

This city's almost too perfect.
