Silas chuckled, sensing Genevieve's obvious hunger. He found himself warming to his new travelling companion, and her seeming lack of guile in the things she desired. He appreciated honesty, that rarest of treasures, though sometimes seen as a flaw by the weak-willed.

"Patience, Captain, the Bakery's not going anywhere." he chuckled, and led her into the shop.

Immediately he was almost overwhelmed by a cornucopia of scents, fresh bread, sweet cakes, the tinge of sugar, spice, and flowery scents. It was warmer in here, as expected, and there was the noise of humming ovens coming from round the back. He saw there was a finely polished brass bell on the counter, which he promptly rang for attention.

"Let me do the talking, I'll see if I can haggle us something. Try not to look too hungry." he whispered to Genevieve, smiling.
