Darrin looked up upon hearing someone coming outside. He'd watched as Zooey came to stand in front of him looking quite annoyed. At first he thought that it was because of earlier, when he'd left the rehearsal room without saying much to her. "Zeke won't come out of his room, won't even talk to me." Why would Zeke be acting like that? Normally, both of his children were very well behaved. Darrin sat his notebook down upon the small table that beside of his chair. He quickly put out the remaining portion of the cigarette, leaving the item in the ashtray. He stood then, coming quite close to Zooey. He smiled at her as if trying to tell her it was alright. "I'll go see what's wrong with him." he said, slowly moving away from the woman. Darrin slowly made his way into the house. He realized that he was getting a strange look from his mother. He chose to ignore it. He quickly headed up the stairs and slowly entered into the children's bedroom. The boy looked upset. Darrin walked over to the boy's bed and sat down next to the child. He was still in his pjs. Darrin sat for a moment before saying anything to the child. "Zeke, what's wrong? Zooey said that you won't talk to her.." Darrin was eyeing the young child closely.

Zaira had done as Zooey had asked of her. She quickly had gone over to her Granny and as soon as Zoe was outside speaking to her Daddy, Zaira had told Granny about finding the two adults upstairs together. Judith smiled brightly. She'd had a feeling that they were at least becoming friends. She really liked Zooey. The girl seemed to fit right into the family. Judith had eyed her son closely as he walked into the house. He'd chosen to ignore her look. Judith noted that Zooey stayed outside for a few minutes before finally coming back inside. "Are you all right dear?" she asked gently. Judith told Zaira to go ahead and go sit down. She wanted to talk to Zooey. She waited for Zooey to hopefully tell her what was wrong. "Zaira told me that she found you and Darrin upstairs...Do you like him?" Judith was eyeing Zooey closely. "I mean, of course, more than friends or whatever you youngins are saying nowadays." She was smiling.
