Darrin watched his son closely. It was obvious that the child was upset about something. "I-If y-you are gunna make Z-Zoe our new M-Mommy, you h-have t-to talk to her f-first..." Zeke said, pausing for a moment. "I-I don't w-want you or her to l-leave." Darrin thought for a moment. What was he supposed to say to that? "Zeke.." Darrin started, gently sliding a arm around the child. "I promise you that I'll talk to her. Just remember that these things take time, ok? I'm not going anywhere, I promise. No matter what. As for Zooey, I'm going to try my hardest to get her to stay, but you and Zaira have to help. You have to be very good and show her how much you care for her." Darrin smiled at his son. "Now, how about we get you dressed and you can come downstairs for breakfast? You need to apologize to Zooey. She was really upset that you wouldn't talk to her." Darrin gently got up out of the bed to help Zeke get ready for the day. He got the boy dressed and then picked him up. Darrin carried Zeke down the stairs and into the kitchen. Sitting the boy down upon the ground, he noticed that his mother and Zooey had been talking. That could never be a good thing. Darrin stood at the counter that stood in the middle of the large kitchen, smiling at Zooey and watching Zeke. He hoped that he would apologize to the woman.

Judith had been smiling while Zooey spoke. "Um, well we definitely aren't saying youngins anymore. I do... but I don't want to just be his replacement for Hannah, and I don't know how he feels. I mean, he wouldn't even kiss me, I don't-" Zooey looked up at Judith, putting her hand over her mouth. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say that, oh my god." Judith smiled gently. "Don't be. Darrin would never do that to you. If he's been acting like he cares for you more than as a friend, then he does. It's not because he's trying to fill the hole that Hannah left. I've seen Darrin watching you. It's different from the way he used to look at Hannah. It's more intense. Why don't you talk to him? I know that he normally doesn't like talking about this sort of thing but maybe give him an ultimatum? Push him." Judith went quiet as she heard Darrin coming down the stairs. She eyed Zooey before saying, "Take him outside to eat breakfast. Talk to him. I'll keep the kids busy."
