Darrin smiled at the woman. "Good. I'm not sure that I could let you go, even if you asked me to." he said, placing a final kiss upon Zooey's lips. He gently led her over to one of the chairs. "You," Darrin said, waiting for Zooey to sit, "Need to eat. If I recall correctly you didn't eat much last night." Darrin took a seat in the chair beside of Zooey's. As Darrin ate, he eyed the girl near him. "I..was thinking about asking Damion, Landon, and Tyler over." he said wondering what Zooey would think of that. He was feeling more and more awful about the things that he'd said to them right before he'd left them. He was no longer looking at Zooey. He knew that he needed to make up with all of them. It was his fault that all of this had happened. Sadness crossed his features. He would find a way to make things right. Maybe, Damion had already talked to the others. That would make it a bit easier on him.

After finishing breakfast, Darrin asked, "Any plans for today? I was thinking about being quite lazy. You wore me out yesterday." He was smiling again. He waited until Zooey was finished eating before offering to take her plate. He stood and led the way into the house. As he entered into the kitchen, Darrin noticed that his family was in the living room. He placed the dishes into the sink and then headed in there. The children were sitting upon the floor, watching the movie. His mother looked to him as he entered, smiling at him as if she knew something. Darrin sat down upon the couch, wishing that Zooey would join him. Since his mother had decided to sit in the opposite couch, Darrin almost wondered if the older woman had planned this. As Darrin sat on the couch, he quickly sent a message to Damion, asking him to bring the guys over the next day. He hoped that nothing bad would happen. He really didn't feel like getting beat up again. He was the smallest in the group and though he liked to act big..that's all that it was. An act.
