"I suppose that would be cheaper." He agreed. Her leaning body startled him at first, but he forced himself to relax. He took a breath, and tentatively put one arm around her, testing the waters. He thought she liked him, and her leaning against him surly supported that, but he was still unsure. after a few moments, he spoke, "I am really glad you are O.K., Jewel.When we were hit, I was scared that you were hurt... Or worse." He gently squeezed her shoulder. "I have never thought about losing someone like that. It truly frightened me." he stared straight ahead, willing the bus to get here as soon as possible.
