Roman's thoughts swayed like a pendulum as he tried to focus on moving towards the spire. He noticed his brother was helping him hold himself up. Normally he would have been disdainful of being cared for by his younger brother, but right now his state only allowed him to focus on the tower's draw.

"Bro it may be the heat.... but that looks like a dead guy and a really big wolf..."
"What does that mean to me? Do you want a pelt?" Roman retorted nasally as he pressed his shirt against his nose. The bleeding was slow but steady now.

Vas remained cautious around the creature. It was hairy, that much Roman had gathered, but he didn't sense any immediate danger. Vas, who had conjured an ice pick, was not so calm. In fact, his demeanor was a lot more aggressive than Roman was comfortable with. That is of course until the sight of Al's body became more than a blurry shade. Roman staggered back a step and fell to his knee, balancing himself with his hands.

"Still think this is a good idea?" said Vas
"Water was a good idea, whatever you're about to do is not."responded Roman now noticing the scene. The man was still breathing slightly, and there were no noticeable flesh-wounds.

"Wake him up Vas." he said after further thought. Vas began to retort, but Roman snapped back assured by his analysis. "Just do what I ask Vassi. This is not the time!" he said as his Russian accent began to slip through his struggling conscious.

After snapping he realized that his brother had come to a similar conclusion, that being this scene was not what they had first thought. The desert land and the dimensional travel had taken a fair toll on him. They were still a good ways from the spire itself, but they could clearly see the city that surrounded it, and the deadness that it held. As Roman's vision sharpened, he could see movement around the base of the spire. It was a creature. It was a horde of creatures. And they were big.
