Vas glanced over at his brother staggering in the desert toward the tall black spire.

"No! get back here Roman..." Vas could tell his voice was out of range.

Without a second thought he took a large drink from the glass vessel, still leaving some for his new dehydrated companion, and burst out into a full sprint towards his brother.

"Get back here and drink" Vas called out to his brother but he was still to far for his voice to reach his brother. Why his brother was so drawn to the spire he could not understand but the closer he got to his brother... no the closer he got to the spire, the stronger the urge to follow its will was.

He finally caught up to his brother and tackled him by the legs taking him down to the sand slowly. "Stop you need to rest!" he yelled as he struggled to pin his brother to the now cold blue sand.
"You see those ruins over there. we'll rest over there for the night and tackle the spire when we all have our strength, you said you saw something.... do you really think you can take whatever it was you saw in your condition?" Vas ended his rant pointing unknowingly in the direction of the woman spying on them, and hopping his brother would see his good intentions in saving his life.
