Rhys knocked the resin out of the pipe and put it away, mulling over the information that Kane stated. He didn't even blink when his friend said he tasted human in the water. Kane's senses were insane, and hell, he could touch an something and learn everything about it, and he could look into a creature's eyes and know it's darkest secrets. "That is bizarre." He snatched one of the bones Kane had given to Jester and after cleaning it off, he started chewing on it lightly, thinking. If it was a Hunter, that could pose a threat... it would be better to kill it before it got to them. He spit out a shard of bone, "Only an hour or two away? What do you say to finding it and killing it, or would it be too risky?"
If he had been traveling alone, and knew about whomever it was, he would've tracked them down and eliminated them. But Kane was more cautious, and for good reason. Rhys actually attributed his extended survival to Kane's reluctance to dive into action. Jester came and put his head in Rhys's lap staring up at him. He patted the hyena on the head, running his finger's through Jester's spotted fur. The hyena cackled softly. He couldn't help but smile. He looked up at Kane thinking the suggestion over, but didn't say anything else because he knew his friend would come up with the safest option possible.
