Ai's eyes looked between Jayson and two unconscious boys simultaneously before answering. "Both guardians, Josei and Samuel, are still alive, and within stable conditions. Josei sustained heavy injuries in combat that would have been otherwise fatal, had Samuel not come to intervene. Samuel, using his box weapon, healed Josei more quickly and more effectively than I had predicted, but had exhausted himself unconscious. Josei may awaken at any moment, with some discomfort, but because of his exhaustion of flames, and his normally sedimentary lifestyle, he's likely to sleep through the night. Samuel may need to rest as well, though his impulsive nature seems to effect him physically."

Ai looked around the room, examining the aftereffects of the attack. "I personally have made contact with three of the threats, and they have all shown threatening behavior. One of them engaged Josei in combat, which is how he received his injuries, but did not kill him."

"They have all been seen demonstrating the use of Deathperation Flames, but their shapes and properties do not match those of the known types of this time period. I have only been able to analyze the properties of one and observe another in combat. Also, they have been observed using technology nonexistent during this time. Drawing these points of data together, I have made the assumption that the attackers we encountered are not from this timeframe, and likely are from a possible future, but oddly, only one possible future, as somehow, multiple versions of the attackers have not been detected in this timeframe."
