Molko was finally getting the hang of his mount. It had taken a long time, but he was finally feeling a little comfortable about it. A horse or anything large would probably still terrify him, but the panther was close enough to the ground that it mattered little.

"Ach, ladies," he says to the two of them. They had taught Dejah enough to know she was being addressed. As a Lady, still, but all the same.
"I thin' we ought'a try an' get our bearin's. We've been wanderin' for qui' a long time, an' we 'aven' seen a sign o' this feather." He translated his own words for Dejah, then looked towards distant mountains beyond the jungle. He had more of a mind for nearby hills, but it felt like chasing a needle in a haystack either way.

He had completely failed to notice the distant figures on the horizon. Dwarves were not well known for their eagle-like eyesight.
