The day had progressed slowly, but Selwen found herself not minding it so much. Her friend had something to do with that, but it was also the company of Dejah.

They had talked idly of little amusements, often translated by Molko. By the time they had reached the area they were in, Selwen had a soft touch of deepened color to her cheeks. She was just happy with having made so pleasant a friend, despite the dire circumstances they were in.

When Molko began talking, she shifted her eyes away from Dejah to him. "That seems sound, Master Firestorm. What..." she paused.

Squinting her eyes far down the beach, she wondered if she was seeing things or if there were people standing and moving over yonder. Her friend helped her eyes somewhat, but it was quite distant. She said nothing of it, in case it was a trick of the heat. Instead, she settled for keeping her eyes forward as she brushed her hair away from her sight.
