Jake saw several things at once, one moment he was trying to comfort a little girl, another he had seen someone crawl up to the door. Thinking Rose could handle the little girl Jake stood up an attempted to go over to Demetri, she wasn't far away and she looked like she needed help. "Don't worry I'm coming to hel-" he began to say as he became aware of a thump sound behind him. Turning his head he virtually couldn't believe it seeing his sister on the ground. Spinning around on his heel Jake almost tripped over himself running back to Rose. "Rose! Rose?!" he shook her slightly to no response, she was breathing though, her pulse albeit raised was still there
"I'm.... uh... Isabelle. I'm sorry. what I did... to your... uh.... friend. She will wake up soon... I hope."
He raised his head to see the little girl. He wanted to give out to her, he wanted to scream and show her the error of her ways. But he couldn't... she was what so young and so scared. How could he blame her. "She not my friend" he replied, his tone even, trying to stay calm. "She's my sister". He placed both his hands on Rose's head. "I'm going to try and take this away from you Rose" he explained before doing anything to his sister. If this was a psychic power where it was in someone's mind to be stopped then his technique 'Bandage' just should work.
Bandage worked by tricking the body and mind into thinking no harm had been done to it. Jake had been using it on fairly minor injuries thus far. A twisted ankle, a bruised arm. It gave the body time to heal whilst not experiencing pain. So hopefully this would work. Taking a deep breath he concentrated on his sister, his hands getting slightly warm with his touch. "Rose?" he asked quietly when he was done, hoping it did as well with mental injury as it did with physical.
Jake hadn't forgotten about the woman at the door, but his sister was his first concern.
