It seemed that Deriz was in agreement and felt parched too, though it was no wonder really with all of them travelling to here. Deriz then spoke about the food hall which she'd take her too, so she followed behind him feeling happy that she had met him and that she probably had met her first friend here. No doubt everyone else was unpacking and taking ownership of their room but there was plenty of time for that, as what Lilly did not want was for them to reach there and the entire food hall was packed. Thankfully it wasn't as he arrived with Deriz stopping at the door so she could enter first, "Here we are, they have plenty to choose from. I'm sure you'll find something you like", which she herself was certainly sure of as she begun browsing what was on offer as Deriz took his water, "i'll meet you at a table. than we can chat".
As he walked away, she offered a smile to in other words say thank you, though he wasn't quite sure if he saw it as he looked for a table for them to sit at, as her eyes followed him, thankful for being her company so far and helping her keep her mind off her brother. There she goes again, silently scoulding herself once again, before returning to see the different drinks and weighing up the options before her. Drawn to the milkshakes, she picked strawberry up with such being what she was used to, before looking around to see Deriz sat down at a table with his hand in his hair before giving her a smile and waving her over, which she then proceeded to do so as she walked over to him and sat in the chair opposite as she held the plastic container that held the milkshake with both hands with a straw poked through the middle.
Now seated, she brought the cup slightly towards her, before she leaned her head forward so she could take a few sips of the milkshake as the straw entered her mouth. As she drunk it, she diverted her eyes to look at her skirt as she shamefully thought about her brother again when he complimented her when she drunk it and looked so innocent. Lilly truly missed her brother for he was the only one who understood her, yet what gave her parents the right to throw her who was so innocent, into a marriage with some selfish guy who cared only for himself. If the guy was someone nice like her brother or Deriz then she'd probably be more inclined to, but to a jerk who'd only make her life a misery and using her when he needed her, she wanted out. This was her way out.
Finishing her few swigs, unaware of the redness of her cheeks or the smile that had formed, she looked back upto Deriz, "I really love this...", referring to the drink though she didn't say such openly but she meant it for the company also, a double-barrelled meaning, "and you've truly been amazing, even though I've not known you for long. I was kinda dreading this place since it's just like going to school all over again as I was in a human school before as my parents wanted me to experience what it was like, so I really didn't know what I was expecting, if I am truly honest", as she spoke her mind before asking, "What about you, was all this what you were expecting?".
