There were several reasons why she wanted to get moving; one so she got the chance to see where things were to prevent her being late and prevent her getting the punishment for doing so; two to get out of the food hall as people were coming in and; three for her quick getaway to stop thinking about her brother. It was hard to move on, no matter how much she tried to ignore it. As soon as she learnt of his death, her parents wasted no time to inform her of her arranged marriage to do her family duty and in rebellion to this, Lilly had no choice but to stand against it, resulting in Lilly's enrollment at Vampire De La Torre and now facing so many people, hence why she felt comfortable round Deriz right now, keeping to one.
Despite her precautions, it seemed that sticking to the one, to prevent being overwhelmed by being round large groups, had seemed to backfire. Deriz was great company, very kind and considerate, but focusing on just him before her seemed to only remind her of her past company, her brother. At least she hadn't shown herself up.....yet, as Deriz replied, "Well, i like to read high in a tree at night when no ones around. When i'm with someone i like to have long talks, play games, y'know just have fun with them. But when i'm with a group, if that will ever happen we'd have a little bonfire, or like a picnic or something. When I'm alone i read books, study so i have good grades, and mainly think about memories the good parts not the bad".
As he spoke, she begun to wonder more about him. Lilly did not sit high in a tree to read despite how intriguing it sounded, yet she did go on the roof to stargaze so there was a common interest there, though maybe he wasn't a fan of stars but the link between the two merely being alone and enjoying the peace and silence that night-time offered. Night-time was truly the only time that vampires like them could shine, back in the world they shared with the humans, they had to hide who they were and act as 'normal' for what they believed was 'normal' so their routine had to be altered, such was another reason why she felt good about being here at Vampire De La Torre with other vampires so she could do what she wanted pretty much without going out of normality and being found out which was always a risk to all her kind.
Something else she noticed in his response was that he didn't expect himself to be in a group, so it conveyed the impression that he weren't so confident in crowds. Well, who was truly? though she did admire his inner strength when he mentioned how he recalls memories, though in her situation, it was hard to remember just the good parts when the bad parts were much more easier to remember. Such was so unfair. "Tell me about your self lilly....what do you like to do?", he then asked as Lilly thought about how to respond to that, deciding to just think on her feet so her pause wasn't too long, "Well not that much really, if I'm with company I like to spend time with them, but otherwise I like reading, music and love looking at the stars in the night sky....me in a nutshell", ending with a smile.
Lilly decided to ignore the whole memory part as she distracted such as Deriz led her around the school on their mission of exploration, coming across a private room first of all, her eyes lighting up on the third where art and music were, before entering the fourth for which seemed to be where the classes were held as they came across the maths room then the health room, before others come bursting out the third door without looking and nearing knocking Deriz down as he commented, "Jeez, be a little more careful", making Lilly giggle in response, before Deriz found out it was a library they were in, before motioning her towards the others.
Doing as he requested, she nodded and crossed the hall as she opened the first door and peered inside, seeing the year '1066' and others which highly suggested it was the history room. Moving onto the next one, he saw the world map which told him at once it was geography, before moving to check out the final room which wasn't so clear until he entered and saw some portraits that he was familiar with, such certainly being for the language and literature class, as Lilly returned to Deriz to report her findings, "More classrooms, history, georgraphy and english, so at least we know where the classes are now to avoid that punishment", giving a smile since she found no problems being late now,
