"You little brat...someone should teach you a few manners..." came the stranger's hiss, the iced annoyance so tangible it made her shiver. What the hell is his problem!? screeched that inner voice, infuriated as her doll-esque frame was abruptly spun around. In fact, looking up into the wrathful face of this stranger, Rin couldn't help but have her attention direct to three thoughts: 1. Her hat was now being stomped to death in the bustling streets 2. No one was going to come help her, everyone was apparently terrified. And 3. This man, whoever he was, was surprisingly quite attractive.. if it wasn't for the scowl of disdain marring his features that was. However, that china doll worthy face didn't give away single emotion besides irritation as she trained her blazing gaze on his face, her tone easily matching his. "I could say the same for you.. grabbing a lady by her hair like that!" How much more vile can you get?!"
It wasn't until a few seconds later that those purple orbs traveled downwards, alarmed by the growl and sudden warmth near her hand, that the Ronin fully realized his hand overlapped on her wrist. And, by the looks of his white knuckles, was squeezing rather hard. Thankfully, Rin's oni blood kicked in and was busy at work healing the newly forming bruise, it's color and throbbing fading the moment it appeared. Well..at least it's useful now.. appraised her inner voice as her glare returned to his face, threat looming in the aura she dispelled.
You crossed me on a wrong day, filthy dog..." resonated the man's crossed hiss once more, this time sounding more powerful. Fear began to creep into the crevices of the girl's mind as her attention became mesmerized by the sudden shifting in his scarlet irises, the yearning for bloodshed quite evident. Kicking in her inhuman speed, the Ronin instinctively swung her foot upwards, catching him in the stomach. Seeing it was her chance to get away, Rin yanked her wrist out of his hold before sprinting off into the crowd.
What..what is he!? I mean.. I could always use my power to find out.. but do I want to risk it? contemplated the conflicted thoughts, not even wasting time to look over her shoulder to see if he was following. Instead, she focused on the task at hand; get through the crowd. The realization that her pace was slowed, however, kicked in rather fast, her eyes now darting to find a place to hide. Spying an alleyway off the main road, Rin darted for it's cover without a second heartbeat.
