That illusion was as quickly shattered as it was given life. The demon suddenly marched over to her still form in a blur, his vise-like grip shooting out once more to latch onto the thin arm connected to her stature. Before even allowing a protest to escape, the stranger hauled the demi-oni's doll-esque build over his shoulders, the barely existent weight not seeming to bother him. And yet, remarkably enough, he still managed to keep the slivered scabbard together enough to hold his precious blade.
Before it even registered in the farthest recesses of Rin's mind, they were sailing upwards through the air with a feline grace. Stifling a yelp of surprise in her throat, the girl attempted her best to keep the breathing even and calm... after all, why give him the satisfaction of knowing he caused her to panic? Just before they could fall back down to Earth's greedy pull, the demon man darted his grip forward to connect on a roof's edge, his strength flawlessly pulling them both over. "Make any sudden moves...and I will kill you." hissed out his quiet voice, glass shards not even being able to be compared to the cutting edge lacing his tone. And with that, he began to run.
Instinctively, as they sailed over rooftop to rooftop, the half-oni's mind began to race with possibilities. Escaping successfully, dying in combat, falling off the roof... all of those raced through her mind, the first scene by far the most pleasurable. Sinking the slightly pointed canines into her lower lip, Rin immediately began her analysis on how to escape. Your katana.. as long as you don't unsheathe it, you should be fine.. muttered her conscious, the words wistful as always. Twitching a single hand to lay splayed across his shoulder, the demon apparently not thinking it as an odd gesture, she was prepared to escape when his imploring questions caught her off guard.
"Now...What exactly are you? Your too weak to be a demon, yet too fast for a human. Keep in mind, I am not afraid to drop you from here." If he were to observe the gleam within those royal purple orbs, then perhaps this stranger would have known his question stung. What..exactly am I? whispered that hurt voice, bitterness only slightly singeing it's tone. After all, it was the question she was in long pursuit of.. seeing as she could belong to neither side.
With a small growl of frustration, the Ronin pushed away such emotion-laddened distractions to concentrate on the skill at hand. Placing both hands sprawled across his shoulder, her feet moving in a blur to rest flat against his chest, the girl summoned strength in her limbs to propel away from his hold. Sailing through the air with abnormal grace, Rin managed to land on her feet a yard away from her captor, the sheathed katana pointed at his still form. "Beat me.. and you'll find out." came her challenge, defiance and determination reflecting back in her locked gaze.
