Rin's eyes flashed, briefly mind you, with hesitation watching the demon in front of her break down into a laughing fit, anxiety and uncertainty now making her doubt her actions. What is he.. a mad man!? barked her outraged thoughts, only giving the ever-so-slightest sign of a flinch hearing the cruel scorn. When his moment had crumbled away, a silence now stretching between the two, the only sound that resonated seem to be the whispers and murmurs of the wind... and as their eyes connected, Rin couldn't help but feel an overwhelming curiosity at what her expression must be. Was it terrified? Determined? Surely, it wasn't malicious like the man in front her was?

It was then, as he neared with that predator aura, that it finally processed in her mind to move. Jump, you idiot! screeched her conscious, the body willingly bending to it's commands. In a speed that matched his, Rin dodged to the right, only a small gash on the corresponding calf appearing.
