Dr. Dreiberg was puffing steadily on cigar, breathing out clouds of fragrant, vanilla tobacco smoke. Leonard was a large man, seemingly the wrong build for a career anthropologist. He wore a brown newsboy cap held the collar up on his navy blue peacoat, a shield against the misty rain. He wore a look of begrudging discomfort on his face, before turning it to a weak grin. He looked over to Douglas.

"How old are you, son?" he asked, something warm audible beneath his otherwise gruff voice. "You hardly look of age. I'd have given a leg to be on an expedition like this when I was as young as you."
