Smoke billowed from the chimney of the town, dark blackened smoke that went against nature, not to mention the houses themselves, when he'd been younger these lands were farms and trees but now stood this monstrosity of a town. From atop the hill where Valko stood, watching down over the Humans, the sound of hooves and carriages, Humans bickering among themselves and children squealed, some with delight, others fear, no one paid attention to another. Valko's lip curled in a snarl of disgust, the damage they had done to the land, the senseless need to own and destroy... he was a Djöfull Úlfur, he knew all about the desire to fight, even kill but the Human's did more, they didn't stop, they held no control over themselves, they destroyed more then needed for fruitless reasons. A deep rumble sounded in his chest, Valko's claws retracting from his paws, scratching at the dying soil beneath him he gave a push, turning from the sight that angered him so he pushed his paws forward, strong muscled legs eating up the ground as his paws padded down the path. Wolves were a commonality around these parts and the large Djöfull Úlfur were a scary story to tell their children, Valko often the most common cause of that, he felt cornered by his father's rules and worse was his father's insistence that Human's weren't evil, that the Human form within was a part of the Djöfull Úlfur, Valko saw it only as a weakness.
Running down the dirt road a loud shot rang out a sting streaking over his shoulder blade, ears laid flat against his skull Valko shifted his head, seeing two Human's in the distance; the latest invention in the Western Lands, this gun. The Djöfull Úlfur had learned of the damage enough of these 'guns' could do. With a vicious growl Valko spun, facing the Human's with their contraption. Blood trickled on his shoulder, matting in his snow white fur, it was a small knick of a wound, Valko saw red, his eyes hazing over with anger. Leaping into a run the large wolf darted side to side as he ran at the stunned men who were hurriedly trying to reload their guns, before firing again, but the inhuman strength of the Djöfull Úlfur allowed Valko to push all his strength into his run. As soon as he was within distance Valko leapt, his jaws clamping around the nearest Human as their screams filled him, the other torn between loading his weapon and running away, as Valko's jaw clamped at the Human's throat and shook the other Human turned to run... he barely took two steps before Valko jumped, clamping onto the Human's leg. Throwing the pathetic man like a rag doll, blood welled and dripped from his mouth and stained his fur.
"Valko!" The stern command echoed in Valko's mind but the white wolf paid no heed, jumping upon the crawling, screaming Human. "Leave him!" Tarolf's voice echoed with with order but Valko was lost in his kill until he felt the strong jaw on the back of his neck, tossing him back like a pup.
